lóa - Hand soap

lóa sápa means ‘lóa soap’ in Icelandic. Lóa is the name of the ‘Golden Plover’ (type of bird) in Icelandic. This is the national ‘summer bird’, which heralds the coming of spring and summer. Lóa is a wordplay as it can also mean ‘palm of the hand’ in colloquial Icelandic (written lófa - lófa is the accusative form of lófi in Icelandic). And sápa means ‘soap’ in Icelandic.
