Krafla is a volcanic caldera found in northern Iceland. The area around Krafla is both powerful and mysterious; bubbling magma lies just below the surface causing boiling mudpools, unique colours and steaming fumaroles. Our lightshade’s inspiration derives from the geometric domes cover the fumaroles to harness the geothermal energy and the colours chosen are the exquisite colours found around the area.
When assembling the Krafla light there are three different sizes to choose from:
SMALL: Width 28 cm,hight 25 cm
MEDIUM: Width 35 cm, hight 22 cm
LARGE: Width 42 cm, hight 19 cm
A conical SMALL shaped Krafla, using 4 pieces of each component is ideal for hallways or any space where you would like a more controlled spotlight.
The MEDIUM five piece Krafla gives ideal living room lighting with medium light distribution.
Lastly there is the LARGE six piece Krafla with wide light distribution ideal over your large dining room table.
The shade comes in two colours – lighter and darker offering the possibility to choose which colour is on the inside and which on the outside.
Detailed assembling instructions included – assembly takes approximately 20 minutes.
